ACHIEVEMENTS AND COMPLETED PROJECTS OF THE HUMANITARIAN FOUNDATION

Catch them young Program

This was carried out through our quarterly seminar/training to schools and religious organizations. Two quarters of the year were covered successfully and The Humanitarian Education Department team did a wonderful work and other units, “espirit de’ corps”, collectively made the entire project a success despite the huge challenges posed by inadequate financing, lack of learning and gifting materials, vehicles and other electronic and non-electronic gadgets.

Period Covered: January 1, 2021 to June 30, 2021.
Target Population:

Little children and teenagers, and young adults (men and women) from different religious organizations participating on several occasions in sexuality education and basic skills acquisition programs at CCC Divine Mercy Cathedral (DMC), Awoyaya, Ibeju-Lekki

Sexuality & Drug Education

 Senior secondary school students from the above three local government areas of Lagos State (Oshodi, Isolo and Ibeju-Lekki), participated actively in Sexuality Education and Education on Dangers of Drug Abuse and Violence among Youth.

Empowerment & Skill Acquisition Programs

We engaged in a series of skill acquisition programs like:

  •  How to make domestic consumables such as liquid soap, liquid hand wash, hand sanitizer, liquid toilet wash, solid bath soap and polish.
  • Training on how to be a professional house-keeper, cleaner and drycleaner.
  • Training on how to be a professional barber, hair dresser/stylist.
  • Training on how to start small garden and expand – horticulture/floriculture.
  • Training on elementary carpentry/furniture making.

  • Ojo Local Government Area.
Period Covered: January 1, 2021 to June 30, 2021.
Target Population:

Teenagers and youth and interested adults – men and women.

Educational Aid

Books and other educational materials budgeted for first and second quarters of 2021 met. The Humanitarian Foundation successfully gave out an estimated 3500 copies of different educational materials to pupils and students across the three selected local government areas of Lagos State within the first and second quarters of the year 2021.

Monthly Feeding & Clothing Support

The monthly feeding and clothing support to the less privilege was successfully conducted throughout the given period.
